The Race

                   The Race

My heart was pounding and then I thought
I can do it I know I can.
So then I zoomed past all my friends
and Mrs Spence.
I ran down the hill
like a herd of sheep
running from its enemy.
My feet felt like they were
about to fall off but I didn't care.
Finally my spirit was free.
It was like getting a new horse!
I felt like a bird set free,
I was finally there!
