Summer Holidays

Back  at school...
My  feet remember runing on the hot sand.
My legs remember kicking in the water.
My body remembers  laying on the sand.
My arms remember diging for pipi in the hot silky sand.
My hands remember bulding sand castle.
My face  remembers the hot sun burning.
My mind remembers that the holidays will be back soon

Shining Raukawa Falls

Sparkling in the sun, Raukawa Falls shines like precious jewels.
The hard pressured water flow breaks away large chunks of rock.
As tall as a three story building, the Falls tower above our heads.
As loud as a roaring lion the water splashes down with huge force.
The force of the water sends water droplets flying in the air.
Raukawa Falls is breath-takingly beautiful!

Flying Kiwi

I remember two big poles towering over me shadowing me as T [the instructor] was tying me to a diaper I thought [of course it was a harness].He shouted pull and whoosh i soared up into the air the air like a rocket.  My team then lowered me to the ground.  I could hear the faint sound of the girls screaming and squealing in the on the water slide.  By Daniel

Raukawa Falls

Roaring Raukawa Falls trying to be as loud as a tiger.
Water spraying like sparkling diamonds in the mid air.
The trees towering above our heads like giant monsters.
Clay squirting out like a vicious volcano.

Mantis

What insect looks as though it is praying? Of course it is the praying mantis. It gets its name because they have very long front legs and they look like they are praying. Its special features are its head and neck.It also has good eye sight. The New Zealand mantis is threatened because of Aouth African mantises eating all their food..

Spraying out water droplets into the hot air.

Water Slide

Whoosh! One person went!Whoosh another one went!"It's your turn"someone said to me.I slowly slipped in.I could feel the fresh water as cold as an iceberg.I could hear the screams in the distance from the flying kiwi....

Letting go I went as fast as a rocket !
Before I knew it I was at the bottom!"I so want to do that again"! I said to myself.

I was lining up to go on the most fantastically fun water slide in the history of water slides! My advice to you is go to Raukawa Falls!

Shinning Raukawa Falls

Shimmering down the steep path rushing rapidly the magnificent waterfall falls down the vertical path.
A huge bit of rock has got chipped off. Imagine hearing that noise.
It sets off large high-pitched screams as the water hits the large lake. I could hear waves crashing against the rocks. I could see shinning pours of water. I could taste disgusting wet air.
As the water hits the surface it also sprays the air with wet air waiting to enter your mouth like a waiting moth to see if it could pounce into your house.

Raukawa Falls

Raging Raukawa Fall is as beautiful as the night sky.
I can hear the splitter from the roaring waves.
I can see the water glistening  in the sunlight.
I can feel the fresh New Zealand water.
The splash of Raukawa Falls is like a World War Two jet plane.
Rock squirting out like a volcano.

Rising Trees

Trees rise like the Eiffel tower being built.
Now trees grow as quick as a click and there we are they
are as tall asthe Empire State building.
Trees need rain their city is the rain forest.
Then CRASH! oh no there`s no trees left oh may as
well plant some more.

The Flying Kiwi

I remember doing the flying kiwi. Long wires clinging above our heads.
The loud sounds of piercing screams.
The rope being hoisted with a zzziiiiipppping sound. People running with the rope like rushing rhinos.
People looking down and suddenly scared.
The feel of the harness was a little pinch like someone was biting you.
The wind smashed on our body.
they had a lot of amazing activities there

Raukawa Rages

Racing Raukawa Falls crashes into the river.
A giant chunk of rock lies stuck at the bottom of the falls that was chipped off by the water's power.
As tall as the Titanic and as noisy as a working gold mine.
The spray of the Falls can wet you in two seconds.

Raukawa Falls

Raukawa Falls are as big as a house, with water squirting out the door, rushing to make a pool as fast as a cheetah.A huge bit has loosened itself off with a loud splash. They are loud splashing monsters that like water.Spray can make the air cool and a bit cold.
