The Karearea

The Karearea is a feisty hunter, standing tall with  pride,
The king of the forest.
The Karearea’s wings beat wildly in the wind as it swoops down like a roller coaster
Spying on its innocent prey.
Its feathers, rich brown like chocolate, soft like a furry pillow.
It scans with eager, beady eyes, searching, desperate to find food.
Its cry, shrill like a WW2 air raid siren
Bounces off trees and mountains, to forests to cameras
Of scientists.

Mia your description is quite marvellous! You paint such a wonderful picture with your words that I can easily visualise this magnificent bird as I read this! Fantastic!
